Yellowstone has the most robust population of grizzly bears in the lower 48. It is one of the few places where both grizzly and black bears coexist in such large numbers. This makes it one of the world’s premier bear-watching environments. Your Montana Master Naturalist guide will introduce you to the fascinating history of bear management in the park and the ever-evolving relationship between man and bear. You will learn about the surprisingly diverse life of a bear in Yellowstone, including their seasonal dining habits and interpersonal relationships. Bears use a variety of habitats throughout the year, and your guide will take you to the best locations to view these magnificent animals in their natural environment. Yellowstone National Park has a rich history dating back to thousands of years of native habitation. Since the early 19th century, modern America has been captivated by the stories of early explorers. In 1872, the world’s first national park was established after the Washburn Expedition of 1870. Ultimate Two-Day Yellowstone Adventure
At over 2.2 million acres, Yellowstone is larger than the states of Delaware and Rhode Island combined! A two-day tour is an ideal way to see more of everything the park offers, and our customized itinerary will highlight the most magnificent and inspiring destinations in Yellowstone.
The first day’s highlights include wildlife watching in world-famous Lamar Valley, summitting the 8,878 foot Dunraven Pass road, witnessing the glory of the upper and lower falls at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and viewing majestic Yellowstone Lake.
Day two is highlighted by many of Yellowstone’s most iconic thermal features, starting with the spectacular West Thumb Geyser Basin, where geysers and hot springs steam and rumble on the shores of Yellowstone Lake. Yellowstone Day Hiking

Trails to Trout Expedition
Start your morning with a scenic drive into Yellowstone’s magnificent Northern range. Later in the morning, you will meet your experienced horse wranglers for a trail ride up to the fabled upper meadows of Slough Creek. From there, you will spend a half-day with your experienced fly fishing guide chasing the creek’s gorgeous Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout.
