Master Naturalist Hike
Join us for an interpretive hike on the picturesque Sage property in Paradise Valley. Yellowstone Day Hiking
Leave the roads behind to explore the serenity of Yellowstone’s scenic backcountry wilderness accompanied by an experienced guide on a hike selected to fit your interests and experience. Your choices may include summiting a peak, venturing to a secluded waterfall, walking through a tranquil forest, experiencing Yellowstone’s unique geologic features, and more. Experience will be tailored to your activity group’s activity level. Please request our hike brochure.
Children are welcome on this tour, but strollers are not permitted on most trails. We recommend bringing a child carrier hiking backpack for younger children. Please be prepared to be outside the vehicle for varying lengths of time while wildlife watching, including some walking on trails. Layers of clothing and sun, wind, and rain protection are recommended to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Living Landscapes

Join Johan Erikson, a passionate Ph.D. geologist, who loves to help people understand the connections between their observations and the natural processes that have shaped the landscape.
ABOUT JOHAN ERIKSON, PH.D
Johan Erikson, Ph.D., is a geologist and the owner of Yellowstone GeoTours LLC. He has extensive research and teaching experience and is a college professor. Johan is passionate about helping people understand the connections between their observations and the processes that shape the landscape. His favorite part of being a geologist is leading field trips. He has led trips to various locations, including Iceland, Canada, the Caribbean, South America, and numerous places in the US and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
