Yellowstone has a fascinating history of visitation, from ancient native peoples to modern-day visitors. It became the world's first national park in 1872. We will explore many interesting historical locations in the park, particularly the lodges and interpretive sites. By visiting these places, we will learn about the people who explored the park, documented its wonders, and contributed to the development of the infrastructure we see today.

Field seminar led by our Master Naturalist

High-powered optics for wildlife viewing.
Yellowstone subject reference materials.
Transportation between Sage Lodge and Yellowstone National Park.

This experience is designed for guests 13 years of age and older. The classroom session the evening before the tour is 2 hours, and the park tour day is 9-10 hours. Guests should expect and prepare for moderate hiking (up to 3 miles) with increasing elevation.
